Welcome to The George Inn, Blackawton a real pub at the heart of this friendly rural community.
We hope that you enjoy your visit and feel that you would like to return !

Our village inn offers genuine hospitality to all our visitors – we are a family friendly, dog friendly, inclusive place and all members of our team really do care about providing our visitors with a warm welcome and outstanding customer service. Since we have experienced problems due to our previous policy of allowing dogs to stay in our guest bedrooms, we can no longer allow dogs into our first floor bedrooms although dogs are welcome throughout the ground floor public areas. 

We serve well-kept cask ales from West Country breweries, a selection of West Country ciders, and a wide range of wines by the glass as well as bottle, and excellent home cooked food using local produce. We endeavour to provide excellent value and choice within the constraints imposed on a small, rural business remaining viable.

Although The George Inn, Blackawton is an old building, disabled access to the bar and dining room directly from Main street is possible. To view our Access Statement click here.

The focus of our complaints procedure is to constantly improve our offering to all our customers, If you have a complaint about any aspect of your experience here then please tell us immediately - all our staff are willing to receive your feed back and take your complaint to the management. We can only fix what we know about!
