Guest Chef Sunday Lunch  These fantastic value set menus will re-commence on 15th January. First menu, @ £8 for 2 courses, or £10 for 3 courses, will be  Asian inspired Turkey salad, Spiced slow-roasted pork, Figs with mulled wine syrup. All our past chefs have enjoyed the experience, most have volunteered for a repeat "performance" and we provide a "sous chef" to assist in the kitchen. For details of further "special guest chef" menus watch this space!

Sunday 6th May 2012 - Blackawton is the venue for the 2012 "Worm Charming Olympix", The George Inn Beer festival and BBQ. As usual there will be Live music and the customary MAyhem with all Blackawton's many organisation's providing diverse stalls and entertainment, refreshments in the Village Hall and the ever popular Ram Roast. For more information, and to enter your team of three to the wormcharming competition, check out www.wormcharming.co.uk  

Monday Evening QUIZ night
Every Monday from about 8:45p.m. Bring a team (any number of people!) or come along and join a team, they are always pleased to see new people, Hosted by a succession of local "Quiz Masters" so every week is different. This event regularly raises funds for the Devon Air Ambulance - you never know when you may need them!

Friday night Fish & Chips with Champagne
Order our 200ml "single serve" sparkling wine with your fish and chips to celebrate the start of the weekend! Our excellent fish & chips on a Friday fits a great British tradition, made a little bit special with "bubbly" - try the two together on Friday evenings @ the discounted price of £11.95! If your preference is for other than champagne just let our bar staff know when ordering what drink you would like instead!

June 2011 was "SHELTER BOX" month in Blackawton - a full programme of events raised over £2,500 - a cheque was presented early evening Friday 19th August.
